Question 1063106: I have the following problem:
80-36/2+6-2x5+1=44
I need to insert parentheses and grouping symbols to make this equation true.
I have tried many different ways, and been unable to get it to be true. The most common answer I have gotten is 27, -44, and 117 and 56.
Please help!!
Even my mom (a teacher) and my sister (in the 9th grade) have tried to help me and have been unable to solve this.
Thanks.
That isn't an X....that is a times symbol....
maybe I should have said, 80-36/2+6-2*5+1=44
