You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Pennies have to be some multiple of 5
The average amount for a coin is 2 cents, so at least half will be pennies.
But, there must be at least 1 nickel, 1 dime, and 1 quarter which account for 40 cents. There can't be 60 pennies.
Try 55. There must be 8 coins for 80 cents. 3 nickels, 4 dimes, 1 quarter.
Is there another answer?
Try 50. There must be 13 coins for 85 cents. 1 has to be a quarter, so 12 coins for 60 cents. That won't work, because 12 nickels make up 60 cents, and there has to be a dime used.
55 pennies, 3 nickels, 4 dimes, 1 quarter.
