You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do I completely factor this expression?
4x^2 + 8x -12 + 6x
Combine the x terms.
4x^2 + 14x - 12
They're all even coefficients:
= 2*(2x^2 + 7x - 6)
Then it's trial and error, but experience helps.
Hint: There's nothing else to be done.

.
4x%5E2+%2B+8x+-12+%2B+6x = 2%2A%282x%5E2+%2B+7x+-6%29.

Next step is to solve the quadratic equation

2x%5E2+%2B+7x+-6 = 0

using the quadratic formula, and find its roots x%5B1%5D and x%5B2%5D.

Then continue your factoring

4x%5E2+%2B+8x+-12+%2B+6x = 2%2A%282x%5E2+%2B+7x+-6%29 = 2%2A%28x-x%5B1%5D%29%2A%28x-x%5B2%5D%29.
