You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Meaning of slope can give you the slope-intercept equation form. Use that.

Points (x,y) and (p,v) have a slope m,
m=%28y-v%29%2F%28x-p%29

y-v=m%28x-p%29

Find a linear equation whose graph has the indicated slope and passes through the given point slope =2 point (-3,1)
y+-+y%5B1%5D+=+m%28x+-+x%5B1%5D%29 -------- Point-slope form
y+-+1+=+2%28x+-+-+3%29 -------- Substituting , and 2 for m (slope), in point-slope formula
y - 1 = 2(x + 3)
y - 1 = 2x + 6
y = 2x + 6 + 1

By the way, you're given all that you need to find the equation. No need to calculate anything.
It's that simple.....nothing COMPLEX!!
