You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=length
____y=width
____2(x+y)=perimeter

IF The length of a rectangle is 3 Inches more than its width, then,
x=y%2B3
IF The perimeter of the rectangle is 30 inches, then,
2%28x%2By%29=30
Solving 2%28x%2By%29=30,
2%28x%2By%29=30
%282%28x%2By%29%29%2F%282%29=30%2F2
x%2By=15
But, x=y%2B3, thus,

y%2B3%2By=15
y%2By%2B3=15
2y%2B3=15
2y%2B3-3=15-3
2y%2B0=12
2y=12
2y%2F2=12%2F2
y=6
Again, x=y%2B3, so,
x=6%2B3=9

Therfore, the length is 9 inches and the width is 6 inches.
