The question should be clarified.
If I work left hand and right hand sides independently, here's what happens:
6(-2-x) = -3(2x+5) ??
-12-6x = -6x - 15
-12 = -15 so the original equation is not a valid equation

6(-2-x) = -12-6x = -3(4+2x) = -3(2x+4)
