You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The function should be written as
f(x) = (5x-15)(x-4) / (x^2+12x-19) =%285x-15%29%28x-4%29+%2F+%28x%5E2%2B12x-19%29 ,
because if the expression x%5E2%2B12x-19 is not "under a roof",
you need to "wrap it" in brackets to indicate that it must be calculated first,
and then divide %285x-15%29%28x-4%29 by the value calculated for x%5E2%2B12x-19 .
If you cannot "put a roof over it", "wrap it".

All the options given have x=0 ,
because the first number in all those ordered pairs is 0 .
When x=0 , the value for f%28x%29=%285x-15%29%28x-4%29+%2F+%28x%5E2%2B12x-19%29 is
,
so highlight%28%22d+.+%28+0+%2C+-60%2F19+%29%22%29 is the correct answer.
What it means is that the y-intercept of the function,
where x=0 and the graph is crossing the y-axis is the point %22%28+0+%2C+-60%2F19+%29%22 .
graph%28600%2C300%2C-5%2C5%2C-4%2C1%2C%285x-15%29%28x-4%29+%2F+%28x%5E2%2B12x-19%29%29 .
The graph crosses the x-axis at x=3 and x=4 ,
so it also has x-intercepts at (3,0) and (4,0) ,
but that was not the question,
and those were not choices.
(The choices (3,0) and (4,0) were there just to trick you, in case you were rushing through the problem).
