Given,
eq1: x+y = 180 (supplementary angles)
eq2: x-y= -45
Solving eq1 - eq2, you can evaluate value of y (larger angle)
x+y - (x-y) = 180 - (-45)
2y = 225
y = 112.5

The negative difference between the measures of supplementary angles is -45. Find the measures of the larger angle.
Let larger angle be L
Then smaller = 180 - L
180 - L - L = - 45 ----- Negative difference is: - 45
- 2L = - 45 - 180
- 2L = - 225
L, or larger angle = highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C3%2C+%28-+225%29%2F%28-+2%29%2C+or%2C+112.5%5Eo%29%29
