You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The given expression can be written as:

+4x%5E2+-+x+=+3+

Subtracting 3 from both the sides, we get:

+4x%5E2+-+x+-+3+=+0+

On factoring we get:

+4x%5E2+-+4x+%2B+3x+-+3+=+0+

4x%28x+-+1%29+%2B+3%28x+-+1%29+=+0+

==> (4x + 3)(x - 1) = 0

==> (4x + 3) = 0 or (x - 1) = 0

==> x = -(3/4) or x = 1

thus the solution
