Question 1059575: The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 324 ft. IF the length is twice the width, what is the width of the garden? Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi there,
Make the width = x
Length = 2x
Perimeter = 2 x Length + 2 x Width.
324 = 2(2x) + 2(x)
324 = 4x + 2x
6x = 324
x = 54
Width = 54 ft
Length = 108 ft.
Hope this helps :-)
