You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the midpoint of the line segment joining (4,8) and (–2,–6).
----
Don't put spaces after the commas.
---
Find the average of x & y separately.
---
x: (-2 + 4)/2 = 1
y: (-6 + 8)/2 = 1
--> Midpoint at (1,1)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
( 4,8 ) and ( -2, -6 )
First find +x%5Bmid%5D+
+x%5Bmid%5D+=+%28+4+%2B%28-2%29+%29+%2F+2+
+x%5Bmid%5D+=+2%2F2+
+x%5Bmid%5D+=+1+
--------------------------
+y%5Bmid%5D+=+%28+8+%2B%28-6%29+%29+%2F+2+
+y%5Bmid%5D+=+2%2F2+
+y%5Bmid%5D+=+1+
--------------------------
The midpoint is ( 1,1 )
