Question 1059039: please help me solve this problem?
The area of a circle is 22 cm square. Find its radius to the nearest whole number. Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! A=pi*r^2
22 sq cm=pi*radius ^2, units of radius will be cm
22/pi=r^2
r=sqrt (22/pi)=sqrt (7.003)=2.65 cm rounding to 3 cm.
For 2, the radius would be 4 pi or 13 rounded to nearest whole number
For 3, it is 9 pi or 28 cm rounded to nearest whole number
