Let s be the side of the square. Then:
s²+s²=(6√2)²
2s²=72
s²=36
s=+/- 6
Each side of the square is 6 ft. long. ☺☺☺☺

The diagonal of a square has length (6 square root of 2) ft. Find the length of the side of the square.
