You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
In a race of 1 km, Abdul beats Bilal by 25 seconds, who beats Faheed by 75 seconds. If Bilal and Faheed run an 800 m race,
then Bilal would beat Faheed by 300 metres. Find the time taken by Abdul to run a 800 m race
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will explain you an idea, but I will not go in details.
I will leave the details on your own.
Let A be Abdul's speed (in m/s).
Let B be Bilal's speed (in m/s).
Let F be Fahid's speed (in m/s).
Then the condition says:
1000%2FB+-+1000%2FA = 25   (1)   ("In a race of 1 km, Abdul beats Bilal by 25 seconds")   Try to understand why it is so.
1000%2FF+-+1000%2FB = 75   (2)   ("In a race of 1 km, Bilal beats Faheed by 75 seconds").
The third condition says that Bilal runs 800 m at the same time as Faheed runs 500 m.
It means that the ratio of Bilal speed to Faheed speed is 8%2F5:
B%2FF = 8%2F5.   (3)
Now, from equations (2) and (3) you can find B and F.
Then, knowing and having B, you can calculate/find A from the equation (1).
Having A, you will be able to answer the problem's question.
At this point I leave you.
Good luck !
