How to change quadratic equation from general form into standard form (same as "vertex" form) - video

On yours, you should factorize the right hand side and then complete the square inside the parentheses; but be sure to adjust form this, to undo it correctly OUTSIDE the parentheses.

There are two lessons on this subject written specially for you:
    - HOW TO complete the square to find the vertex of a parabola
    - Briefly on finding the vertex of a parabola

First lesson explains everything in details.
The second lesson is short instruction on how to do it.

Read the lessons and get trained in finding vertex and maximum/minimum of a quadratic function.
