a radius of x. What percent of the field is irrigated to the nearest whole percent?
Can anyone please explain to me what to do ? I'm very confused and I need help !! Thanks Answer by jorel555(1290) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The total area of the field is 2x X 2x, or 4x². The area that can be irrigated is limited to a circle of area πx². So the percent of the field that can be irrigated is πx²/4x², or π/4. This works out to about 79%. ☺☺☺☺
