You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x: number of student tickets sold
400-x: number of adult tickets sold

Since the cost of a student ticket is $2, and an adult ticket costs $3:

2x: money earned from student tickets
3(400-x): money earned from adult tickets

Equation: 1050 = 2x + 3(400-x)
1050 = 2x + 1200-3x
1050 = -x + 1200
1050 - 1200 = -x
-150 = -x
-x = -150
x = 150

400 - 150 = 250

Student tickets: 150
Adult tickets: 250
