____y=the smaller number
If the difference of two numbers is 19,then,
x-y=19
If the larger number is 3 more than twice the smaller,
x=2y%2B3
Substituting x=2y%2B3 to x-y=19,
2y%2B3-y=19
2y-y%2B3=19
y%2B3=19
y%2B3-3=19-3
y%2B0=16
y=16
But, x=2y%2B3. So,
x=2%2816%29%2B3
x=32%2B3
x=35
Therefore, the two numbers are 16 and 35.
