You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let a equal the airspeed of the plane in still air; and d be the distance between the two cities. Then:
d/a+30=1.5
d=1.5a+45
and
d/a-30=2
d=2a-60
So
2a-60=1.5a+45
.5a=105
a=210
d/210-30=2
d=360
The distance between the two cities is 360 miles. ☺☺☺☺
