You can put this solution on YOUR website! The mean is 13.5, the sd is 10.4
the interval is t(0.90, df=8)*10.4/sqrt (9)=1.397*10.4/3=4.84
The 80% CI is the mean +/- 4.84 or (5.56,15.24) units inches
That means we are 80% confident that the true value is in the interval. We don't know the true value and never will, but we are moderately confident it is between 5.56 and 15.24 inches.
