Question 1056593: Find the numerator: (3m+6)/(m^2-m)=(?)/(m^3-5m^2+4m)
I have a problem asking me to find the numerator of the second rational expression. I am not exactly sure how to go about doing this. I would appreciate a detailed step by step description on how to solve this so I can learn from it.
Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the numerator: (3m+6)/(m^2-m)=(?)/(m^3-5m^2+4m)
--------
Factor where you can::
[3(m+2)/m(m-1)] = ?/[m(m^2 - 5m + 4)]
----
[3(m+2)/m(m-1)] = ?/[m(m-4)(m-1)]
------------------------
[3(m+2)] = ?/(m-4)
-----
? = 3(m+2)(m-4)
----------------------
