You can put this solution on YOUR website!
At a certain pond, 50 fish were caught, tagged, and released.
A couple of days later, another 50 fish were caught again, of which 2% were found to have been tagged.
If the percent of tagged fish in the second catch is approximately the percent of tagged fish in the pond, determine approx. number of fish in pond.
:
2% of 50 = 1 fish
:
Let x = actual number of fish in the pond
:
x%2F50 = 50%2F1
x = 2500 fish in the pond
:
:
Check: 50%2F2500 * 100 = 2%
