.
This is about imaginary numbers, I'm supposed to find the values of x and y. The problem is x+69i=34-3yi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
x + 69i = 34 - 3yi   implies that
x = 34    and
69 = -3y.
Therefore the answer is  x = 34,  y = 69%2F%28-3%29 = -23.
Two complex numbers are equal if and only if their real parts are equal and their imaginary parts are equal.
This is a DEFINITION of equality of complex numbers.
