You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You put in +8+ cups
+%281%2F4%29%2A8+=+2+ cups leaked out
So, +8+-+2+=+6+ cups are in the container
--------------
After sealing the hole, you need +8+-+6+=+2+
cups to fill the container

You are losing 8(1/4 cups) = 2 cups

You need to add 2 cups after you seal the hole.

Loss of 1%2F4 of what is first measured, but the time period is not given. How much time for trying to measure and pour the first 8 cups? How much time while looking for the sealer? How much time for the sealant application action? Is the container now empty completely and you need to measure fully 8 cups of juice again?

The best that can be guessed is that first, 8 cups put in, and 2 cups drained out; and then 2 more cups of juice were measured and poured in. 8%2A%281%2F4%29=2.
