Let n be the original breadth of the carpet. Assuming the cost per square foot of the carpet remains constant, then:
2800/5n=2100/5(n-1)
14000n-14000=10500n
3500n=14000
n=4
The breadth of the carpet was originally 4m. ☺☺☺☺
