t = 3c
t+6c = 540 substitute for t:
3c+6c = 540
9c = 540
c = 60 this is the price of one chair. And the table:
60*3 = 180 this is the price of the table

check:
1 table . . . . . . . . . . 180
6 chairs at 60 each, 6*60 = 360
Total . . . . . . . . . . = 540 Correct

Then: T + 6C = 540 ------ eq (i)
Also, T = 4C (3 TIMES more than one chair means 4 TIMES the cost of 1 chair) ------ eq (ii)
3 TIMES AS MUCH means 3C
