"Harvest the crops in the field" is one whole job.

Constant Work Rate Rule is RT=J and here, unit for T is HOURS, and unit for J is JOB; and you are mostly dealing with 1 JOB.

r is the work rate for ONE farmer, and n is the unknown number of farmers in the question.

12 farmers harvest the crops in the field in 20 hours.how many workers will be required to do the same work in 15 hours
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
According to the condition, it requires 12*20 = 240 man-hours to harvest the crop in the field.
To do the same in 15 hours, it requites 240%2F15 = 16 workers.
Solved.
