You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Laura is building a fence. She buys nine fence posts at the lumberyard, each measuring 8 ft 4 in. The lumber costs $2 per foot. How much will Laura spend?
Note:: 8'4" = (8 1/3)' = (25/3)'
Ans: Cost = 2(25/3) = 50/3 = $16.67
----------------------------------------

Trevor works in his garden for 5 hours and 5 minutes, 2 days a week. After 6 weeks, how many hours has Trevor spent gardening?
Time = 6(2)(5 1/12) = 12*61/12 = 61 hrs
---------------------
