You can check this with other tutors, but what I
learned is that this is the order of operations:
My Dear Aunt Sally, which is:
multiplication, division, addition, subtraction
-----------------------------------------
+5+-+2+%2B+12+%2F+4+
There is no multiplication, so next look for divisions:
+5+-+2+%2B+%28+12%2F4+%29+
+5+-+2+%2B+3+
That's all the divisions, so now look for additions:
+5+-+%28+2+%2B+3+%29+
+5+-+5+
That's all the additions, now do the subtraction:
+5+-+5+=+0+ answer
