distance traveled by the plane is the hypotenuse,
the side opposite 18 degrees is the height above the ground (13,000 ft)
:
let t = time in seconds
then
278t = distance traveled by the plane (hypotenuse)
Use the sine of 18 degrees (side opposite/hypotenuse)
sin(18) = 13000%2F278t
.309 = 13000%2F278t
.309(278t) = 13000
85.9t = 13000
t = 13000%2F85.9
t = 151.33 seconds or 151.33/60 = 2.52 minutes
