Can someone please help me through this and explain the postulates

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The first one is not necessarily true. The line goes to the midpoint, but there is nothing said about it's being perpendicular. It could be, but it is not known.
If the two sides are equal, the third side is common to both triangles, and they would be congruent by side-side-side.
