multiply the top equation by 3, and the bottom equation by -4
60x + 84y = 3900
-60x -80y = -3780
Add the equations
4y = 120
divide each side by 4
y = 30
Substitute 30 for y in 15x + 20y = 945
15x + 20(30) = 945
15x + 600 = 945
add -600 to each side
