You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Carlos has 4 times as many pennies as David. How many pennies must Carlos give David so that they each have 90 pennies?
C = 4D
C + D = 180 (They must have had 180 all together)
----
4D + D = 180
5D = 180
D = 36
C = 144
----
Equation:
C-x = 90
144 -x = 90
Ans:: x = 54 (# of pennies Carlos should give to David
