Question 1049695: A die is rolled, and a coin is tossed.
(a) Use the Fundamental Principle of Counting to determine how many different outcomes are possible.
I feel like I am missing something. When I mapped this out, I mapped out six results of the dice. six possibilities, starting from 6 and counting down to one. For the coin, two sides, with 1 outcome per side.
My first answer was enormous. It was around 46k. My second answer was 720.
Both of these are incorrect, and I am really stumped. I feel like I am overlooking something.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Draw out a table. This table will have 6 rows and 2 columns. The rows will have 1 through 6. The columns will have H and T (heads and tails)
There are 6*2 = 12 different outcomes here. So the final answer is 12.
