Depends on what you mean by different.

They are both real numbers. They are both rational numbers. They are both non-zero. Neither one is an integer. Two times either of them is an integer. Either is equidistant from two consecutive integers.

They are at different places on the number line. One is positive and the other is negative. Their absolute values are different.

That's like asking if two people are different. One is black, the other white. One is male, the other female. One is short, the other tall. One is a little smarter than the other, but the smarter one is less artistic. Despite all of that, there are more similarities between them than differences.

So you tell me, are they different or not?

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
