let us consider the angle as x degrees, than its supplementary angle will be %28180-x%29 degrees
if the measure of one angle is 38 degrees less than the measure of its supplement, we have that
x%2B38=180+-x........solve for x
x%2Bx=180-38
2x=142
x=142%2F2
x=71degrees-> your angle
and its supplementary angle %28180-x%29=180-71=109degrees
