Question 104696: This is the question: Write a system of equations having
A unique solution.
An infinite number of solutions.
No solution.
Ok, if you will be so kind..explain to me how these example relate to this question.
4x+3y=15
-4x+5y=17
3x+4y=20
6x+8y=45
5x+2y=24
5x+2y=16
Thanks!
You can put this solution on YOUR website! a unique solution means the equations result in lines that have different slopes and will cross at ONE point ... the first 2 equations fit this case
an infinite number of solutions means the equations result in the same line ... there are no examples of this
no solutions means the equations result in parallel lines ... the last two pairs of equations are examples of this
note: it looks like the third and fourth equations were supposed to be an infinite example, but the constant terms on the right side don't fit ... if the 45 were 40, then it works
