Two angles are supplementary.

x%2By=180

One angle measures 15 degrees less than the other one.

x=y-15

Try the obvious substitution. Just be careful as you make the substitution.
x%2By=180
%28y-15%29%2By=180
y-15%2By=180
2y-15=180
2y=180%2B15
2y=195
y=195%2F2
highlight%28y=97%261%2F2%29
and the other angle is 97%261%2F2-15=highlight%28x=%2882%261%2F2%29degrees%29.

I've tried to do x+x-15=180 but I'm not sure how x would help me here
Combine like-terms by ADDING x and x to get 2x
ADD 15 to both sides
You should get: 2x = 195
Continue to solve for x, the SMALLER angle
Add 15 to get the larger
That's ALL! Not too complex, is it?
