First integer, 2n.
the third integer, 2n%2B4.

one third of the third of three consecutive even integers is four less than half the first .find the first integer.
Let smallest integer be S
Then 2nd and 3rd = S + 2, and S + 4, respectively
We then get: %281%2F3%29%28S+%2B+4%29+=+%281%2F2%29S+-+4
%28S+%2B+4%29%2F3+=+S%2F2+-+4
2(S + 4) = 3S - 24 ------ Multiplying by LCD, 6
2S + 8 = 3S - 24
2S - 3S = - 24 - 8
- S = - 32
S. or smallest (first) integer = highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C3%2C+%28-+32%29%2F%28-+1%29%2C+or%2C+32%29%29
It is that SIMPLE....nothing complex!
