You can put this solution on YOUR website! Adults=x
children=36-x
X+(36-x)=36
948x+748(36-x)=28,648
948x+26928-748x=28,648
200x=1720
x=8.6 adults. This is not an integer, so there is no integer number of adults/children that gives the above figure of 28.648. The number of children is not an integer, either, but 27.4.
It can be shown that 8.6 adults *948=8152.8
27.4 children*748=20495.2
These add to 28,648, and while mathematically correct, it is not possible with people.
