You can put this solution on YOUR website! 0.04x + 0.065(24000-x) = 1360 0.04x + 1560-0.065x = 1360
 -0.025x = -200 Divide both sides by 0.025 and remember -/- = +
x = 8000 is the amount invested at 4%, and the amount at 6.5%:
 24000-8000 = 16000
