:
S+K = 2406 (1)
S = K-128 (2)
Substitute in (1):
K-128+K = 2406
2K = 2534
K = 1267 This is how many tickets Kate sold. And:
S = K-128 = 1267-128 = 1139 This is how many tickets Steve sold.
