Below is a complete solution.

sin(2x) = -1

There are two solutions of this equation relevant to our problem:

2x = 3pi%2F2 is the first, and

2x = 3pi%2F2+%2B+2pi is the second.

From the first solution you get  x = 3pi%2F4.

From the second solution you get  x = 3pi%2F4+%2B+pi = 7pi%2F4.

Answer:  x = 3pi%2F4  and/or  x = 7pi%2F4.
