The sum of three consecutive numbers is 41 less than five times the largest number. What is the largest number?
Let largest number be L
Then smallest and middle are: L - 2, and L - 1, respectively
We then get: L - 2 + L - 1 + L = 5L - 41
3L - 3 = 5L - 41
3L - 5L = - 41 + 3
- 2L = - 38
L, or largest = %28-+38%29%2F%28-+2%29 = highlight_green%2819%29
