You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi there,
Make Anna's age = 'x'
Sam's age = x + 6 (6 years older than Anna)
Mother's age = 3(x+ 6)(3 times Sam's age)
Add up
(x) + (x + 6) + 3(x + 6) = 44
x + x + 6 + 3x + 18 = 44
Collect like terms:
x + x + 3x = 44 - 18 -6
5x = 20
x = 4
Anna is 4 years old
Sam is 10 years old
Mother is 30 years old.
Hope this helps :-)
