Let x = price of adult tichet
Let y = price of children ticket
2y = x
3x+5y = 41.8
3(2y)+5y = 41.8
11y = 41.8
y = 3.8
x = 7.6
Answer: $ 7.6

Hi there,
Make Adult tickets = 'x'
Children's tickets = x/2
3 Adults + 5 Children's tickets = K41.80
3(x) + 5(x/2) = K41.80
3x + 2.5x = K41.80
5.5x = K41.80
x = K41.80/5.5
x = 7.6
Adult's ticket = K7.6
Child's ticket = K3.8
Proof:
3(7.6) + 5(3.8) = K41.80
22.8 + 19.0 = K41.80
K41.80 = K41.80
