"the numerator of a fraction is 3 less than the numerator."
This doesn't make sense. What do you really mean?

One of the words in the first sentence needs to be changed. Either the first numerator into denominator or the second numerator into denominator.

The second SENTENCE means, %28n%2Bn%2F2%29%2F%28d%2Bn%2F2%29=1%2F2.

What should your first sentence really mean?
system%28n=d-3%2Cor%2Cd=n-3%29.

Find the fraction, n%2Fd.
