x = number of hours worked each month
She earns $10 an hour. If she works for x hours in a certain month, then she earns 10*x = 10x dollars just from her job. She also receives $36 per month from her parents. In total, she has 10x+36 dollars after working x hours a month.
Set that expression equal to 356 and solve for x
10x+36 = 356
10x+36-36 = 356-36
10x = 320
10x/10 = 320/10
x = 32
She must work a minimum of 32 hours a month to be able to meet expenses.
