Question 1043595: I have a chart that shows the average cost of tuition and fees for a traditional and private schools. I am unsure of how to figure this question out.
Here are the number from the charts
Year 2007- Public=$5836, Private=$22218
Year 2008- Public=$6185, Private=$23712
Year 2009- Public=$6585, Private=$25143
Year 2010- Public=$7020, Private=$26273
The model a[n] = 395[n] + 5419 describes the cost of tuition and fees at public colleges in academic year n, where n = 1 corresponds to the school year ending in 2007, n = 2 to the school year ending in 2008, and so on.
1) Use this model and the formula for S[n] to find the total cost of tuition and fees at public colleges for a four-year period from the school year ending in 2007 through the school year ending in 2010.
Thank you
