Question 1042985: The length of a rectangle is four times its width. If the width is diminished by 2m and the length is increased by 12m and the area is 15sq.m What are the dimensions of the rectangle? Answer by josgarithmetic(39618) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! L and w for length and width;
L=4w, but "and the area is 15 sq m" is not clear. Is this the original rectangle area, or is this the changed rectangle area?
New dimensioned rectangle is w-2 and L+12. but not both.
